From the beginning of the semester to this point, I have become more aware of details in texts. I used to read over texts just to get the main idea. Now, I try to piece details together and look for correlations between the text and reality. I have accomplished becoming a more aware reader. I have also been able to develop my ideas more because of this new awareness. I am able to make my thoughts more clear because I am looking past the central idea of a text. An area of improvement for me is seeing the different aspects of a text. I want to learn to be more open to ideas instead of having the mindset that there is only one way to understand or infer a topic.
