Journal 2

A close reading is a thorough review of the paper. Our aim is to notice all the striking features of the text including rhetorical, structural elements, and cultural references. The interpretation of the text or passage helps us to find a deeper meaning, hence creating a more connected and effective paper.

Doing close readings of my paper helped me to find the mistakes I make i.e. better choice of words and the missing details. It helped me to understand and correct them effectively.

Asking questions to myself about the repetitions, contradictions, and similarities helped me improve the quality of my paper.
